Laughlin Desert Challenge, SCORE Off Road Races
January 14 – 17, 2010

Town-Wide Event: For the 16th straight year, motorsports fans and racers from across the United States, Mexico and Canada will gather in Laughlin over the Martin Luther King weekend to launch the five-race 2010 SCORE Desert Racing Series. More than 120 expected entries will compete in 19 classes of cars and trucks for over $300,000 in prize money during this three-day event at the Laughlin Events Park. The course takes these daring drivers through miles of rough desert terrain and in front of the spectator area every couple of minutes.

The party begins Thursday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. in Loser’s Lounge at the Riverside Resort. SCORE’s top drivers will be on hand, signing autographs and passing out team souvenirs. Meet Andy McMillin, the 2009 SCORE Baja 1000 winner, Justin “Bean” Smith of Desert Assassins, Josh Daniels, “Pistol” Pete Sohran, Rob McCachren and many more.  Also, on display in Valet from 7:00 - 11:00pm, SCORE offroad vehicles from Mc Millin Racing, Las Vegas Dissemination, Rusty Unlimited, Mastercraft Motorsports, Rockstar Racing, Desert Assassins, Pat Daily Motorsports, and "Pistol" Pete Sohran.

Chillin' on the River
January 8 - 10, 2010

The River Cruizer's, organizers of the famously popular, Roddin' on the River, are gearing up for their New Car Show Event! 
This first time event will feature a Classic Car Show, Auto Swap Meet, Car Corral, Vendors, and more!  As always, all proceeds go toward local charities.  Great friends of our community, The River Cruizers have donated over $375,000 to local charities.

Winter Break
January 8 – 14, 2010

Town-Wide Event: Winter Break, a festival celebrating living life to the fullest, is gearing up to be one of the most anticipated events of 2010 for the 50 plus age group. This event promises to educate, stimulate, and offer non-stop entertainment and activities for baby boomers and mature seniors alike.  Activities will include: all types of dancing, bingo and slot tournaments, healthy cooking classes, wine tasting, fitness activities, Gal-Events, including activities for Red Hat Ladies, singles functions, karaoke, a car rally and more. Educational seminars, a trade show, and ongoing live entertainment will also draw many participants to Laughlin for Winter Break.

Rage at the River, SNORE Off-Road Race, presented by KarTek

Town-wide Event: Laughlin is the final destination of the 2009 SNORE race schedule. This KarTek Western Desert Championship is a two day, multi-heat race on an approximate 17 mile course. Racers will experience the thrill of traversing the Moon Hills and crossing Needles Hwy twice. The total Pro Entry cost is $530 with 50% payback of the entry fee . . . A deal that's hard to pass up! 18th Annual Roddin' On The River Car Show

Colorado River Regatta
August 29, 2009
 

Town-wide event:  Thousands of outdoor, fun-loving water enthusiasts are expected to invade the Colorado River for the third annual bi-state inner tube regatta. Participants are encouraged to build creative floats for this wet and wild extravaganza. This river regatta welcomes participants to ride on inner tubes and decorative, non-motorized parade-type floats down the Colorado River. Rockets Over The River
July 4, 2009

Town-wide event:  Saturday, July 4, at 9:15 PM, the huge 19th annual Rockets Over The River fireworks display will be free for public viewing along the entire Laughlin River Walk. Typically, this extraordinary display is one of the most spectacular and exciting in the West as the pyrotechnic company shoots its rockets into the dark desert sky. The show will be choreographed to fabulous patriotic music that will be simulcast by the Laughlin hotels and local radio stations. You won’t want to miss this breathtaking event!

27th Annual Laughlin River Run

Town-wide event:  More than 60,000 motorcycle enthusiasts will roar into Laughlin for the 27th anniversary of the Laughlin River Run. This five-day event is the largest Harley-Davidson-oriented event on the West Coast. Activities include the "River Run" to Oatman, AZ, on historic Route 66; custom bike shows; the Miss River Run contest; and a poker run. Town-wide event: The 3rd annual Laughlin Xtreme Bulls hits town as spring weather warms the air. This premier PRCA-sanctioned event features 40 of the top bull riders who will take their shot at a $60,000 purse and the Laughlin Xtreme Bulls title. All 40 riders will compete in the long go-round, both Saturday and Sunday. The top 12 finalists compete in the Sunday finals. Laughlin will also welcome the baddest, meanest, rankest one-ton athletes in the world! Laughlin River Stampede PRCA Rodeo

Town-wide event: For the 15th year, this four-day event will feature America's best cowboys and cowgirls competing in several fast-paced, spine-tingling events for more than $225,000 in prize money. Special attractions include the appearance of Miss Rodeo America, rodeo displays, merchandise, crafts and food/beverage concessions.

Wings and Wildlife Festival of Southern Nevada
March 12 – 15, 2009
 

Town-wide event: Take a walk on the wild side of Laughlin. Registered Festival participants will enjoy complimentary tours to area habitats to view the various birds and wildlife that make their home in this region of the Mohave Desert. Optional tours, for more in-depth exploration, will be offered for additional fees. As well as area tours, registrants will be treated to various educational seminars, a vendor tradeshow and a wine and cheese art vendor event.
